congratulations, katrina!

The twittersphere (and beyond!) is abuzz with excitement, and rightfully so: Katrina German of—a tenant of the Innovation Place Atrium Business Centre in Saskatoon—won the 2018 Women in Communications award from Women in Tech® at a ceremony on November 7, 2018, in Lisbon, Portugal!

With members in 53 countries, Women in Tech® is an international non-profit organization with a double mission: to close the gender gap and to help women embrace technology.

The Women in Communications Award “celebrates inspiring women who innovate the way we communicate and do marketing through disruptive campaigns using new technology.”

It is fantastic to see a member of the Innovation Place community recognized on an international scale with this prestigious award.

“I have been overwhelmed with the support from my community at Innovation Place. I probably would not have attended the event without the support of Greg from TinyEYE Therapy Services and Jordan from Co.Labs. That's the thing I like about this scrappy group of tech entrepreneurs, we all rise together,” explains Katrina.

Learn more about the award via the media release shared on, and enjoy a behind-the-scenes perspective of the award evening in Lisbon, Portual, on Katrina’s blog!
