ComIT Returning to Innovation Place

In partnership with Innovation Saskatchewan, SkipTheDishes, Pivot and Innovation Place, ComIT will again provide fully funded IT training to eligible youth in Saskatchewan following 2018’s successful pilot project.

Build Your Future and Learn to Code: Java consists of classroom sessions that run three times a week, February—May at Innovation Place in Saskatoon and March—June at Innovation Place in Regina. The Java course trains generalist developers and offers a conceptual basis for the implementation of solutions in different industry settings.

ComIT is a non-profit organization dedicated to training youth in tech, based on labour market needs. Eligible applicants will receive funding for training as well as assistance in finding employment.

ComIT was established in 2011 by Argentinian co-founders Pablo Listingart and Maria Soledad Acuña. Originally based in South America, the organization has helped hundreds of eligible youth who couldn't otherwise afford formal training. In 2016, ComIT launched in Canada.

Innovation Place is pleased to sponsor ComIT and welcomes the opportunity to help grow Saskatchewan's vibrant tech sector.
