Innovation Challenge Extended to Local Tech Innovators

Calling all Saskatchewan tech start-ups, entrepreneurs, researchers and students!

Innovation Saskatchewan invites you to participate in the Innovation Challenge, a program that harnesses the expertise of local innovators to solve public sector challenges.

This year’s challenge requires a technological solution to address the following question.

“How can technology be used as a tool to obtain permission from rural property owners before accessing their land?”

Led by the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM) with support from Innovation Saskatchewan, the challenge is a result of proposed changes to The Trespass to Property Act, which would require people to get permission from rural property owners to use their land for hunting and recreational activities.

The winner will receive a $10,000 grant and a 16-week residency period to develop and launch their solution.

Submit your expressions of interest by Tuesday, April 30.
