Co.Labs' Co.Launch Finale Event

On the evening of May 28, a crowd gathered in the Galleria Bowl at Innovation Place in Saskatoon to watch six entrepreneurs compete for $15,000 in prize money.

This pitch-party-style Co.Launch Finale marked the end of the Spring 2019 cohort of the province-wide, pre-seed accelerator for early stage tech startups in the ideation and prototype phase.

The program, powered by Co.Labs, offers new startups access to mentors and resources to learn, grow and determine their product’s market viability.

Of the six startups that pitched their startups and answered thorough questions from the panel of industry pro judges—one of which was Kristy Ehman of Hyon, who won the previous cohort of Co.Launch—two of the competing companies were awarded prizes.

Melanie Morrison of BetterCart won $10,000 and Patricia Tozatti of SnowHydro Tech won a spot on SREDA’s “The Tech Trip” to San Francsico plus $5,000 cash.

Co.Launch was created in partnership with Innovation Enterprise, Innovation Saskatchewan, Miller Thomson and Innovation Place.
