SafetyTek and SalonScale Receive VC Funding

Congratulations to Co.Labs companies SafetyTek and SalonScale in Saskatoon on securing funding from the Conexus Venture Capital Fund. The $30 million fund, launched in July 2019 by Regina-based Conexus Credit Union, supports Saskatchewan-based startups with high growth potential.

The announcement was made at Co.Labs' Co.mmunity event on September 26 at Innovation Place in Saskatoon. Ryan Quiring, CEO of SafetyTek, Alicia Soulier, CEO of SalonScale, and Sean Connor, Manager of Conexus Venture Capital Fund were on hand to discuss challenges of raising capital and to share insights on Co.Lead, Co.Labs' new scaleup program.

Co.Lead helps fast-growing startups increase revenues, obtain investment and grow their team. The program is tailored for high-growth potential companies preparing for Series A funding.

SafetyTek offers a platform that automatically enforces a company's safety program by tracking real-time user activity and creating accountability throughout the workforce.

SalonScale provides software that uses Bluetooth scales to measure real-time product usage, allowing for a more consistent bottom line at hair salons.

Co.Labs companies continue to make their mark in Saskatchewan’s strong entrepreneurial ecosystem. Co.Labs, Saskatchewan's first technology incubator, is located at Innovation Place in Saskatoon - a supportive environment for companies that help grow the province's vibrant tech sector.
