Med.Hack(+) Hackathon Tackles Healthcare Challenges

From October 4-6, Med.Hack(+) participants will connect at Innovation Place in Saskatoon to address healthcare problems through the use of  technology.

The 48-hour hackathon attracts healthcare professionals, hardware and software developers, business professionals, designers and mentors. Together, they brainstorm ideas, form teams and prototype solutions to real-life issues with the guidance of local mentors.

This year’s event features keynote speaker Dr. Sean Maw, Jerry G. Huff Chair in Innovative Teaching at the University of Saskatchewan College of Engineering.

Seminar speakers include two Innovation Place tenants in Saskatoon - Dr. Mike Wesolowski of Luxsonic Technologies  and Will Topping of Brand X Technologies. Other speakers include Conor Lazarou of 7shifts and Tyler Moss of the University of Saskatchewan Western College of Veterinary Medicine.
