Sask Startup Summit Connects Local Startup Community

On September 12 and 13, Regina's startup community came together in full force at the 2019 Sask Startup Summit. Presented by Cultivator, the event brought together early-stage companies, mentors and investors to help startups navigate challenges and opportunities within the province and beyond.

Innovation Place in Regina was home to two kick-off events - the Future Founders student event at Cultivator (2 Research Drive) and the Startup Social in the Terrace building, featuring an engaging pitch competition that truly showcased Regina's startups.

The full-day agenda featured interactive sessions, panel discussions and fireside chats at the University of Regina campus. An impressive roster of speakers included keynote presenter Sean Sheppard of GrowthX as well as several Innovation Place tenants.

Innovation Place was pleased to be an event partner in Sask Startup Summit's inaugural year. The event played a key role in connecting the strong tech ecosystems in Regina and Saskatoon and helping grow Saskatchewan's vibrant tech sector.
