Mera Group and Praxis Consulting Receive Federal Funding

On September 3, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, announced investments of over $500,000 to women entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan.

Two Innovation Place tenants in Regina were included on the list of six women-owned / led businesses to receive up to $100,000 through the Women Entrepreneurship Fund:

  • Mera Group – For development and implementation of an export strategy focused on the US and Kazakhstan.
  • Praxis Consulting – For the creation of an Indigenous research panel to provide culturally sensitive advisory services to existing and future clients.

The funding comes as part of the Government of Canada’s new Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES), a $2 billion investment committed to advancing gender equality and women's economic empowerment. WES aims to double the number of women-owned businesses by 2025.
