Ag-West Bio Helps Showcase Agri-Tech at Innovation Place

Thanks to Ag-West Bio, Innovation Place tenants and facilities were recently showcased to high school students interested in the growing agriculture and bioresources industry.

Ag-West Bio, an Innovation Place tenant in Saskatoon, organized a series of activities for the Saskatoon Industry Education Council (SIEC) and its Spotlight on Careers program participants.

On November 7, grade 11 and 12 students visited the technology park and learned more about agri-tech companies, including Ag-West Bio, Contango Strategies, Okanagan Specialty Fruits, and Corteva Agriscience. They also had an opportunity to tour tenant spaces and park facilities, including the LFK Biotechnology Complex.

Approximately 30% of Innovation Place tenants in Saskatoon represent agri-tech, one of five sectors that support the province's key growth areas. Other sectors include health and life sciences, information and communications technology, natural resources, and industry services and support.

Innovation Place is pleased to provide a supportive environment for a diverse mix of tenants and is committed to helping grow Saskatchewan's vibrant technology sector.
