Updates & Resources for Innovation Place Tenants

The health and safety of our tenants, staff and guests is our top priority. We continue to provide a safe environment for our tenants and staff with our current protocols in line with the provincial government.

Innovation Place Updates

FYI. Proof of vaccination is not required to access our Fitness Centres and attend our events as of February 28.

FYI. Indoor masking requirements in indoor spaces, including common areas within Innovation Place buildings, is no longer required as of February 28.

Fitness centres, meeting rooms, washrooms, squash courts and the games room (Saskatoon only) are open to full capacity.
Hand sanitizer dispensers remain in various common areas for your use.
Innovation Place reception areas (Regina Administration Office, Saskatoon Administration Office and Saskatoon Maintenance Office) are open to the public and will continue to be closed between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.
Janitorial staff will continue to provide frequent, ongoing sanitation of touch surfaces in our buildings.
We no longer need to be notified of presumptive or confirmed positive cases of COVID-19; we can make arrangements for extra sanitization at a fee-for-service if you wish for us to do so upon request.

Accelerated Site Closure Program (ASCP) will utilize $400 million in federal funding for the abandonment and reclamation of inactive oil and gas wells and facilities, and support over 2,100 full-time equivalent jobs in the industry over the next 2 years.

Federal Support

Jobs and Growth Fund: The Jobs and Growth Fund is a $700-million program that supports regional job creation and positions local economies for long-term growth. This includes up to $70 million dedicated to businesses created after January 2020
Canada Worker Lockdown Benefit (CWLB): The CWLB gives temporary income support to employed and self-employed people who cannot work due to a COVID-19 lockdown
COVID-19 benefits and services: Benefits to help Canadians and businesses facing hardship as a result of the global COVID-19 outbreak
Canada Recovery Hiring Program (CRHP): CRHP provides a subsidy on eligible salary or wages to help hard-hit businesses hire the workers they need to recover and grow as local economies reopen
Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS): CERS provides a rent and mortgage subsidy for eligible expenses to qualifying businesses, charities and non-profits. This support is available directly to tenants and property owners
Loan Guarantee for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises: Export Development Canada is working with financial institutions to guarantee 80% of new operating credit and cash flow term loans of up to $6.25 million to small and medium-sized enterprises
Large Employer Emergency Financing Facility (LEEFF): LEEFF provides bridge financing to Canada’s largest employers, whose needs during the pandemic are not being met through conventional financing, in order to keep their operations going
