Updates for Innovation Place Tenants

As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, Innovation Place continues to review our practices and provision of services to our tenants.  We are taking direction from provincial and federal health authorities and are closely monitoring requirements to keep our staff, tenants and guests safe in our parks.

Innovation Place Updates

In accordance with Provincial Public Health Orders, non-medical masks are required when in indoor public spaces, including common areas within Innovation Place buildings, such as lobbies, elevators and hallways. Maximum allowable gathering sizes for indoor private gatherings are reduced to 5 people, which will be reflected in our meeting rooms & common spaces booking packages. These measures are in effect November 19, 2020 until December 17, 2020 and subject to review by the provincial Chief Medical Health Officer.

We continue to focus on providing a safe and healthy environment for our staff and tenants as directed by government and public health authorities and have implemented these additional protocols for your safety:

  • Signage will be posted on Innovation Place doors to reinforce the indoor mandatory mask requirement effective Friday, November 6.
  • Masks are required within our Fitness Centres at all times. Our Fitness Centres have additional health and safety guildines and are available for use via an online booking system. Please visit our Fitness Centre page for more information.
  • Innovation Place reception areas (Regina Administration Office, Saskatoon Administration Office and Saskatoon Maintenance Office) are open to the public and will continue to be closed between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
  • Common area furniture (both interior and exterior) has been reduced to accommodate 2-metre social distancing requirements. Please do not relocate furniture from its current location. As you can appreciate, it is difficult to ensure proper sanitization of outdoor furniture. Please wash your hands with soap and water after enjoying any of our outdoor spaces.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed in various common areas for your use.
  • Though some restaurants have re-opened, our food service providers have not re-opened. At the current time, the volume of people working on site does not allow food services to be sustainable. We continue to monitor the number of tenants working on site, and as soon as it is possible to do so, our food services providers are prepared to re-open. We will advise as soon as a re-opening date has been determined.
  • In-person events and programming remain postponed. Visit Our Community for ongoing events.
  • Janitorial staff continue to provide frequent, ongoing sanitation of touch surfaces in our common area spaces, including washrooms, elevator buttons and common area seating. Regular daily cleaning within tenant suites continues as normal. Protocol has been implemented for deep cleaning/sanitation of space, should an occupant of one of our buildings test positive. Please continue to advise our team should you become aware of a presumptive or positive case. If additional cleaning is required within your space as part of your return to work plan, please let us know.
  • Our building systems have continued to run as per usual. There have been no disruptions to our heating, cooling or ventilation systems or the required maintenance of these systems.
  • There have been no disruptions to the potable water supply in the park. Common area water fountains have been temporarily shut off but water bottle fill stations are still available for use.
  • No modifications have been made to parking lots or bike storage locations. Please continue to exercise social distancing in these areas.

Thanks again to all members of our community for doing your part to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission and for taking care of yourselves and each other. Please continue to adhere to social distancing regulations and good hygiene practices. Together, we can make a difference in keeping each other safe.

Safety is our first priority at Innovation Place. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
