Innovation Saskatchewan is responsible for implementing the province’s innovation priorities and helping grow Saskatchewan’s tech sector. Effective April 2022, this includes operation of the Innovation Place technology parks in Saskatoon and Regina.
With Shawna Pandya serving as commander for the 16-day mission at the Mars Desert Research Station near Hanksville, Utah, we’re one step closer to humans colonizing the martian world. Pandya and her team will be “living real life on fake mars” in order to study the science necessary for human exploration of the planet.
Pandya is a VP of Immersive Med at Luxsonic, a company created with the idea that new technology should be used for the betterment of humankind.
Luxsonic, a tenant at Innovation Place in Saskatoon, began pioneering immersive medical technologies and helping turn ideas into virtual reality in 2014. The innovative company has since expanded to a team of health experts, content creators, software developers, and medical professionals dedicated to innovation in health care.
