Innovation Saskatchewan is responsible for implementing the province’s innovation priorities and helping grow Saskatchewan’s tech sector. Effective April 2022, this includes operation of the Innovation Place technology parks in Saskatoon and Regina.
Congratulations to Katherine Regnier, Founder and CEO of Coconut Software, a tenant at Innovation Place in Saskatoon, and this year’s recipient of the Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (WESK) Celebration of Achievement Award. The award celebrates exceptional female entrepreneurs who have built a business in Saskatchewan with a significant impact on the economy and the community.
Coconut is an appointment scheduling and lobby management solution platform founded in 2007 by Regnier and is championed as one of the province’s tech success stories. Regnier’s advocacy for women entrepreneurs and women in tech and commitment to the Saskatchewan tech community, including her role as founding board member of Co.Labs, Saskatchewan’s first technology incubator and tenant at Innovation Place in Saskatoon, are among the many reasons for the award.
Coconut and Regnier have been the recipient of multiple awards and distinctions and have participated in the prestigious 2020 Women in Tech Silicon Valley Program and the Google for Startups Accelerator for Women Founders.
Regnier will be presented with the award at WESK’s virtual Small Business Conference on September 28.
